botherd	7:59p	Pretty things, so what if I like pretty things? - Unpopular fandom opinion time: I really hate the Diva photos. All of them. I don't understand any of the creative decisions that went into that photoshoot. :/ - Seeing that big bang season has started up in other fandoms has made me really wish that Skins had a big enough fandom to pull off a big bang. I mean, I know there are multi-fandom big bangs that people can write Skins fic for, but it's not the same as having a fandom-centric one. Can you imagine how awesome it would be? - (Speaking of big bangs, I think I might drop out of apocabigbang. I'm not really married to any of my ideas, I don't think I can actually write ~plot, and there'll soon be shiny new canon to distract me.) - I'm writing Katie/Naomi at the moment, and it's made me realise just how many different Skins pairings I've written. Including the ones I just touched on in 2ndyearstories, I've written: Naomi/Emily, Katie/Effy, Naomi/Effy, Katie/Emily, Katie/Naomi, Katie/JJ, Effy/Emily, Cook/Effy, Freddie/Effy (just to break them up, lol), Thomas/Pandora, Cook/Pandora. That's a lot of pairings! Clearly I need to try boyslash next. Pairing suggestions? (LOL, like anyone cares about boyslash in this fandom.) botherd	9:27p	I miss the fourth wall. :( Oh God, Kat's read Lily/Kat RPF? Ugh, excuse me while I CURL UP INTO A BALL AND DIE. Obviously I think fanfiction is awesome, including RPF, but nothing makes me cringe more than when actors or creators acknowledge its existence. :( (Also, why did the person who asked the question have to direct her to the Pit, of all places? botherd	8:42p	oh, the speed of a year Just watched the Doctor regenerate! I'm really looking forward to seeing Matt Smith as Eleven (plus his pretty, pretty companion), I have to say. I'm kind of tired of David Tennant's face. I can't believe someone got paid to write such bad fanfiction. I mean, let's look at that extract: ( IDEK ) In conclusion: I'm pretty sure I could do a better job. (I'm not saying my writing is OMG AMAZING, but I'd at least put more thought into it than this hack did.) I know lots of other fandomers could. botherd	10:53p	A good white lie is often considerably more exciting than the truth. Hope everyone is having/had a wonderful Christmas/Friday, depending on timezones and whether you celebrate! I've had a really awesome festive period in general. On Wednesday and Christmas Eve I saw Hazel and Sam for the first time in ages, which was really lovely; they came to see our new house and we went on an icy countryside walk, and we exchanged amazing presents and cards and generally had an awesome time. They gave me a lolrus and some lolspeak fridge poetry, which my mum has been using to make hilarious nonsensical poems that are like Gertrude Stein meets lolcats. I love it! Today has been really low-key but nicely so, just spending the day with my parents and brother. Got some nice presents, including a starry dressing gown that makes me feel like Dumbledore, had a gorgeous Christmas dinner, watched Doctor Who and Strictly (yay Ali and Brian!!) like the entire rest of the country. Also also, Yuletide! :D I love my fic, Five Times Janis Could Have Kissed Demetri (In a Purely Platonic Way), which is FlashForward Janis & Demetri BFFery that makes me totally happy. And apparently I have an extra Yuletide Madness gift waiting in the wings, which is extra exciting! I can't wait to read it once the server's recovered. I wrote two fics for Yuletide, and like everyone else I'm offering a SPECIAL PRIZE (fic!) to anyone who can guess which they are (betas excluded, obvs). And now I'm going to read a bit of The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear or possibly watch an ep of something before bed. ♥ Current Mood: happy (Comment on this)

Now, about that other thing, er, Doctor Who, I will probably only get to see it on Saturday (maybe v. late tomorrow, if I'm lucky), which is a fact of great distress to me omg, but *sigh* I will get over it ... eventually!  I shall come back after that with proper opinions and everything.  ZOMGDONNAWILFTHEMASTER!
